Saplings Mental Health Services is owned and operated by Julia Hintermeister and Laura Honey, two clinical counsellors brought together over a shared desire to fill the gaps in mental health services for children and youth in Northern Eastern BC.
Together Julia and Laura bring over 20 years experience working in mental health services as clinicians, consultants, program developers and more. As clinicians they have each worked with hundreds of children, youth and families as they walk through a variety of mental health struggles.
As consultants they have partnered with a variety of services providers including schools and hospitals. As program developers they have had the honour of creating and implementing mental health programming for children and youth of a variety of needs and abilities. Now, they have come together to serve those in the local community of Fort St. John.
Saplings Mental Health Services strives to meet the mental health needs of the next generation at the community level. We are here to collaborate with service providers, stakeholders and community members who are working with children and youth in almost any capacity. The Saplings team is passionate about ensuring children and youth mental health is being addressed at this critical time.
